MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission for our students is to promote spiritual growth; to assure intellectual growth through academic excellence; to foster a Christian social conscience; to develop a physically healthy lifestyle; and to provide a culturally enriching experience.
HISTORY
St. Patrick Catholic High School opened to nearly 600 young men and women in grades seven through twelve in August 2007. Our campus, located approximately seven miles north of I-10, includes state-of-the-art classrooms, gym, cafeteria, chapel, theatre, and beautiful new athletic fields and facilities.
Our school continues the heritage of Catholic values and excellence in education on the Gulf Coast since 1875. St. Patrick combines the proud traditions of St. John High School in Gulfport, and Mercy Cross High School, Sacred Heart School for Girls, and Notre Dame School for Boys in Biloxi. Many of our students are second-and-third generation Catholic school scholars. Eighteen parishes support St. Patrick through their continuing contributions to the Capital Campaign, through providing a subsidy for the school’s operational costs, and through offering tuition assistance to parents of their parish. Our pastors are represented on the School Advisory Council.
We are a Christian educational community comprised of teachers, students, administrators, pastors, parishioners, and involved parents. Dedicated to educating the whole child, we offer a challenging curriculum designed to prepare students for life-long learning and a sports program that is focused on developing Christian athletes. We provide many opportunities for spiritual growth through religion classes that emphasize knowledge and practices of our Catholic faith, weekly Mass, grade-level retreats, and ministry through service. Students are encouraged to participate in clubs and organizations and school-sponsored social events. Parents are encouraged to join the Parents Association, the Athletic Association, and to volunteer.
State-of-the-art technology enables us to maintain excellent communication with parents. PowerSchool allows parents real-time access to student progress via the Internet. Administrators, faculty, and staff use PowerSchool and e-mail at their desks. Our website is our primary means of communication.
We invite you to learn more about St. Patrick by scheduling a visit to our campus or visiting our Website. If you are considering enrolling in our school, we encourage you to request an application packet. If you have questions at any time, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our administration, faculty, and staff.
