The Rite of Christian Initiation is an invitation for adults to explore their interests, or to enhance their knowledge, in the Roman Catholic Church. The R.C.I.A. lays out a process in which men and women are guided and cared for as they awaken in faith and are gradually introduced to the Catholic way of life. Catholic Day at the Capitol will take place on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.  The day will begin at the St. Peter Cathedral Parish Center in Jackson at 9 a.m. and last until 3 p.m.  This year's Catholic Day at the Capitol will focus on Criminal Justice Reform and will feature John G. Koufous, the National Director of Reentry Initiatives Right on Crime and the Executive Director of the Safe Streets & Second Chances Initiative; and Haley M. Brown, an Oktibbeha County Prosecutor and Mississippi State University Law Professor.  After lunch participants will walk to the Capitol Building’s South Steps for a press conference by Bishop Louis Kihneman.  Afterwards there will be an opportunity to observe sessions in the House of Representatives and/or the Senate, to tour the Capitol Building, or to meet with individual Legislators.  (Individual meetings with legislators should be arranged on your own in advance.)  Visit catholiccharitiesjackson.org for more information.

Please join us in Eucharistic Adoration. Adoration is a special time to spend with Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. You don't have to spend the whole hour, our Lord just wants to be with you.
